Some reasons why atheists are atheists?

It has dawned on me that some of the reasons an atheist remains one, is the various hypocritical religions out there who place self above a Holy God. What happened to the Church of Christ? All the dissenting opinions and arguing, twisting the word of God for self fulfillment, etc. will never change an atheist to a believer. If more Christians followed the word of God instead of arguing with it, there wouldn't be as many unbelievers. Quite simply with the many paths preached to salvation and blatant apostasy and the preaching of "your best life now", atheists are confused. If God's word was preached as a doctrine instead of a self fulfillment guideline, the confusion ends for them.
