probably wrong but i think it might be an extreme case of allergies you don't know about(think if you came into contact with something you don't usually come into contact with when you get these spikes). The food you eat probably plays a role too. A lot of people think just eating veggies is healthy but you need to get some meat in there too and other types of food. Something else is if you are going to a new environment its likely the germs there got to you. A lot of kids get sick when they go back to school after summer vacation. The sudden exposure to diseases and bacteria and germs can really get you sick even if you have a healthy immune system. Could be any one of these or maybe i am wrong. Go find out.

Not in the least. If I ever appear less critical of Islam, it would only be because I'm surrounded by and more exposed to Christianity by a very large margin. You should not just deal directly with the professor as the grad asst doesn't seem to have your best interests in mind. I don't think it is good to fight directly with them. I would explain to the professor that there has been come miscommunication (don't directly label it lying as this will not help when you still have to work with the grad asst). Confirm with the professor what potential projects you can work on. Ideally you would then use this email to forward to the grad asst and apologize that perhaps there was miscommunication but you would be interested in working on x,y,z depending on the options which the professor laid out. It seems the grad asst is in the wrong but I think he/she knows it. So if you come up with concrete examples of things you can work on and it shows you have communicated with the professor, there is little the grad asst can say. I think it would not be prudent to accuse the grad asst of lying to the professor or directly to the grad asst because you will have to work with this person no matter what. You need to think long-term.

Post C-Section problems? Very important?

i had a c-section a week ago, and i woke up this morning with a fever of 101-102, and this morning my breasts were engorged and i have a headache. I had some stuff comin out my incision but the nurse said its normal and she cleaned it off. Since then only a tiny tiny bit has come out. And i still have a bit of blood comin out my vagina. I'd say take a painkiller for the headache, get some good rest for the body aches (or maybe a nice warm bath may help a little, as well as massaging yourself where you hurt the most or having someone gently massage you...the painkiller for the headache may help these though) and gargle with salt water to help your throat feel a little better. If you're feeling hot though the warm bath might not be what you want. Be careful to monitor yourself for a fever in case you've gotten a flu of some kind. Hope you feel better and can get some rest soon! You and your body need it.

Yesterday my niece came down with a fever of 104 degrees, at 10 months old. Her parents took her to the local emergency room where the Dr's told them there was nothing they could find wrong with her. 24 hours later her fever has spiked again. HELP! tampon stuck for 2 weeks!!?

ok, this is kinda graphic, so please dont be immature about it.. Ok, About 2 weeks ago, i put in a tampon, forgetting i had one in (first time ive ever done that so please no smart remarks) but the thing is, i didnt realize i did this. The next day i told my husband that i thought there was two in there, and i checked but i didnt feel anything, it was too far in so i thought i was wrong. Me and my husband have had sex once and he said it felt like there was something in there and we couldnt do it, but still i couldnt find anything. Tonight, he started to finger me and he told me i had one stuck, so he pulled it out since i couldnt. 3 year old child keeps crying in sleep?

It's 3:30 in the morning and I am sitting here in tears. I am listening to my 3 year old cry every 5 mins in her sleep. She doesn't have a fever. Safe alternative to Tylenol for teething?

My daughter is 4 month old, and the past few days she has been waking in the night due to teething pain. Sometimes she is really crabby because of it as well, which I can't say I blame her, probably hurts! I have been giving her Tylenol the past 2 days because of a fever and pain from immunizations and she seems to feel much better after. I just don't want to constantly give her Tylenol due to the whole liver failure thing. I know I can do the cold rings and freezing a wash cloth- But I need some ideas for at night so that she can sleep properly and not constantly wake up fussing. If it's something safer than Tylenol that I can use during the day as well, that would be great too. I just feel so bad for her, she's always chewing on her finger, she looooves when I rub her bottom front gums w/ my finger, and sometimes she seems like she's really in some discomfort. At her 4 month well baby appointment on Monday, her Dr said she was teething as well. My brother SWEARS by the whiskey method, but I don't think I could do that. Regardless of who has done it for how long and how little you use- That just doesn't seem safe... I'd rather just give her Tylenol- At least that's MADE for her. Any suggestions or ideas would be great!! :)

Gallbladder healing process?

So on the 15th of this month I got my gallbladder removed they did the surgery where they make the tiny incisions. I was wondering if anyone experienced any itching sensation on the incisions and if that's normal also a coupld of the bandages came off already so its just scabs now but there is a small faint of redness around my scabs. Just wondering if that's normal as well. Oh and I have no fever no shortness of breath or anything else that's affecting my health.

Help bad cough for a week!?

I've had a bad cough for about a week now. Sometimes when I'm talking I choke because I cough. I don't have asthma or any allergies. It's a dry cough. Bug bite thats caused baseball sized reddish looking rash with purple bruising?

Hello we're in central Illinois and went camping over the weekend my friend first noticed the bite on Saturday which looked like a mosquito bite. It was normal skin color and about the size of a peanut M & M. It was itchy. On Sunday the bump was gone and in its place was a large reddish rash with bruising. It is not painful to the touch but itches sometimes and does not appear to have gotten bigger than on sunday although the bruising has gotten slightly more purplish in color there is no signs of puss or any type of fever. The reddish color literally looks likes someone punched you in the stomach several times but with 4 day old looking purple bruising. We were attacked by mosquito's and chiggers that weekend and its deer tick territory out there...we also have brown recluses in that area i've never seen a bite like that. What do you think it was? Shes trying to avoid a hospital ill if she can....what do you think?

Could my dog be allergic to grass or have hay fever? His eyes keep swelling up!?

Ok, so this morning I let my great dane outside to go to the bathroom when we got out of bed. He was outside for approximately 3-4 minutes before he came back inside. I noticed that he was kind of acting goofy and rubbing his head into his dog bed and pawing at his face. Shortly there after I realized that his eyes were swollen up and had bumps or hives on his head. There was no swelling or hives anywhere else on his body. This was around 6:30-7:00 am this morning and most of the swelling had gone down by the time I got him to the vet at 9 am. The doctor assumed that it was a bug bite or a sting, as I am sure any vet would have due to his symptoms, and just gave him a benadryl shot and no steroids. We came home and he slept for several hours. I let him outside to go to the bathroom after he woke up. He was outside for only a couple of minutes before he came in. About 5 minutes later I noticed his eyes were swelling up again. I gave him 100mg of benadryl as the vet had instructed me to do. This was around 4pm and the swelling went down. I went outside with my dog tonight, (7:45ish), to play with him and keep an eye on him to see if his eyes would swell up again, and they did. I was watching him pretty close and I didn't see anything sting or bite him. I am so confused to what could be doing this to him because all of the "seasonal" allergy related/ hay fever stuff I have looked up seems to go along with more of itchy skin and feet - Not swelling of the eyes and hives ONLY on the face. I will keep an eye on him for the next day or so, and if it continues to happen I will take him back to the vet. I am trying to get advice from other dog owners who may have had similar issues with their dog before I take him back to the vet. I spent $100 for today's visit and I'm collecting unemployment at the moment, so money is tighter than I would like it to be. If anyone has advice or might know what this is, PLEASE help!! And please don't just tell me to take him to the vet, I have common sense.....THANK YOU!!

RHEUMATOLOGY-Help to lower 9yr. old's ASO level?

My 9 yr. old has had an ASO level of 425, brought down only to 335 after 5 months straight of penicillin. Any rheumatologist out there have any suggestions? He has been screened for rheumatic fever and cleared by a cardiologist. He occasionally has pain and weakness in his knees. Visually, they are not swollen. I Feel Trapped. Please help?

I feel desperately alone, but I find it very difficult to be around other people. I am untrustworthy and prone to dishonesty, and I would rather be alone as I find that I am incompatible with many people and I would rather be without them. I feel as though there are few people who truly understand; those that do are so far away and we are unlikely to ever cross paths. A psychiatrist does not understand, they only know what they have studied, but have not experienced it themselves - I have had many psychiatrists but have always ended up quitting due to my introverted nature getting in the way of progress. I have been offered antidepressants before also. I have an obsession with food that leads me to being both anorexic and a binge eater. This has been in my life since I was eight years old. I feel dissent at the current government in the UK and the education system, which leads me to believe in a nihilistic sense that there is no hope for me. I feel that I cannot go anywhere or do anything - I am very free-spirited and I just want to be able to live my life without restraints, which I find a difficult prospect. My depression makes me unmotivated and idle. I miss a lot of school, give up on things before I have begun them and procrastinate to the point where I can do nothing else. I am such a perfectionist that I often do not even bother beginning things because I know that they will never be 'perfect'. Please, how can I get out of this rut and stop entrapping myself? Fever after 4 month immunizations?

My 4 month old daughter got her 4 month immunizations yesterday around 10:30a.m EST. I gave her Tylenol 30 min before her appt, and then again 6 hours later. I didn't give it to her again (I want to give her as little as possible) until last night before bed as directed by the on call Dr because her fever went to 100.9* (by ear) last night. They also said to give it to her this morning, which I did. It's been about 6 hours since her last Tylenol dose and her fever is still 99.6* (in her armpit) and just about the same by ear. Why do I have a weak immune system?

I have severe allergies, seasonal and chronic, I get sick often and recover slowly. Hay fever can leave me bedridden for days and many medications don't work for me. But I don't understand why. I eat healthy, whole organic foods, never eat processed foods, and exercise daily. I don't smoke cigarettes, I maintain proper hygiene....I mean, I shower daily and even floss every night. I go to the dentist and doctor when in supposed to. I live in a rural area, get plenty of fresh air and am not exposed to environmental toxins. I use hypoallergenic bedding and cleaners, all my clothes are made of natural fibers. But this all doesn't stop me from getting frequent viruses and colds that last a long time, or from sneezing and itching during allergy season. I'm starting immunotherapy soon but I'm dubious as to how effective it will be. No amount of medication in the past has seemed to ease symptoms, or work like it does for others. Im sure it's not a karma issue either, lol...I pay my taxes on time and volunteer. I get so angry when my best friend boasts how he can eat whatever he wants, keep a messy house and never visit a doctor, and still be a picture of health. Was I just born this way? What else can I do to boost my immune system? I dont take vitamins, is that it? I'm desperate to live my life without being sick all the time.

The military defends our constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Our enemies in the world would do away with our Constitution. How we defend the Constitution in regards to the war on terror is by keeping the enemy engaged far away from our shores.

Diarrhea for 3 days now 31 weeks pregnant?

I've had diarrhea for 3 days now. I have no other symptoms. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and on modified bed rest for preterm labor. I have had contractions on and off but nothing too serious. I do not feel sick to my stomach and I am not running a fever. I am not lactose intolerant and do not change my cats litter box. I am 25% effaced but not dilated. The baby has been moving perfectly fine. I went to my ob office yesterday and I am in perfect health according to the midwife. I have increase mucous like discharge but my water has not broken. The baby is engaged. Am I getting ready to go into labor? Also, I was bottling my leaking colostrum since I think it'd be stupid to let it go to waste and giving to my toddler who is 21 months old (I have been just sitting with a bottle underneath my nipples to catch it I have not expressed it) but now it turned from yellow to clearish white so my actually breast milk is coming in. Is this labor? I was induced with my first so I don't know what the signs of labor are. OB office doesn't seem too concerned.

Ok so last summer i was on vacation and we saw a big fireworks show. on the way to the hotel from there it was harder to breath and then i started shaking uncontroably. I could talk and i knew what was going on, but i couldn't stop shaking. it happened a lot that week and then when we got back it stopped for a few months until i watched the titanic. It all sarted again. it goes away in like about a half hour to 2 hours it really depends. after it happens i am really weak and tired. Just recently i went to a babysitting class and was there until lunch but then i got up to get my lunch and i grabbed on to my friend and told her i didnt feel good. i felt like i was and wasnt there like it almost felt like a dream. i was shaky but not uncontrlable. i went to the ER and they did blood test and gave me an iv and they didnt find anything wrong with me. then i went to dance and i felt almost like i had a fever and i got pale and felt that like dreamy feeling again but not as bad so i just left it alone and if someone asked i told them i felt feverish and thats it. i got home and i was soooo tired after that. do thhese sound like seizures to you?

Husband claims i do nothing...advice?

so my husband and i got into a big fight, and im still feeling really hurt. my husband manages a restaurant (assistant manager) and i am a nanny to 3 month old twins. i work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. i absolutely love my job, but its not what id call "easy". but apparently my husband would. also, he doesnt do ANYTHING around the house. i do the laundry the dishes, take care of our 4 pets, i balance the checkbook and pay the bills, and he goes to work and plays xbox when hes home. and i guess he thinks the house magically cares for itself? And to boot, I'm only 22 years old. Anyways during the fight he says I do nothing and when I bring up my job and the housework he says "the housework is a womans duty, and its not that difficult, and you play with babies all day how hard can it be?" how can i get my husband to see all that i do?

Because there are far fewer libertarians than there are christian conservatives. I do feel your pain though. Although I'm a democrat, I always have the best conversations about politics and economics with libertarians. I'm 14, could I have diabetes?

I've always had stomach problems and nausea since I was little, but I'm 14 now and so much more is going on. I get extremely dizzy, my mouth is pretty dry, I'm really sore everywhere, my chest hurts, my arms and legs are tingly and I feel like I'm shaking, I haven't been sleeping well, I always feel like I could vomit, and I have terrible headaches. They also said I had a 100 degree fever and that my throat was red. I am also not hungry, I've always been skinny but I never really ate good foods. Could this be diabetes? My 6 month old has diarrhea...bad?

My baby boy has been eating rice cereal with juice for a while now. And he's never had a problem. In fact, I hoped it would help him go to the bathroom easier, he's always had big hard turds instead of the looser stools. I breastfed for about 4 weeks and then had to formula feed. But even with the juice it was only sort of helping. But after he had 2 boxes of rice cereal gone we decided to try some baby oatmeal for him with some juice and he LOVES it! It's his favorite even more than the rice which he liked a lot. And now, his poop is yellow and runny and he's going anywhere from 2-9 times a day. He is getting 3 teeth and already has 2 teeth in and with the first 2 he just spit up (he was never a spit up baby until he started teething). He never got a fever or anything. But this time around he's fussy and I have to give him Tylenol at night to help him sleep. But I don't know why he has diarrhea. I've stopped giving him juice and began mixing his oatmeal with warm formula which he doesn't like as much and filling his sippy cup with water which he enjoys chomping on and spitting the water out (silly little man). If his diarrhea doesn't stop after his oatmeal is gone (he's only got like one more serving left, at most 2) then I'm going to take him to the doctor, don't worry I'm not neglecting him or anything. But the other thing that is confusing, is that he doesn't fuss about a tummy ache or anything. He hasn't had any Tylenol for his teeth in over 2 weeks and the same with juice. So I think it's the oatmeal but I'm not 100%...We're going to get some pedialite for him to see if that helps as well. Do you think it's just the oatmeal?

Slight headache at night, wake up breaking fever?

Last night I had the slightest nagging headache that wouldnt go away. This morning I wake up EARLY, because my headache had gotten worse and I was either hot or cold, hot or cold and sweating and it felt like I was breaking a fever. I took some excedrin, went back to bed and woke up and the headache was pretty much gone. I feel a little dizzy right now still, and I feel like the headache could return. Any thoughts?

My girlfriend is 18 and works 2 jobs and she's worried about her math class cuz she failed a test and she has a 73 in the class and thats going to drop she talked to her councilor about how she asked for help on the test and the teacher denighed her help.. Her councilor reccomended tutoring and her councilor also told her thatnif she doesn't pass this class she won't be graduating with her class.. I've been trying to calm her down and telling her how just her failing one test won't drop it that much especially with it being close to the end of the year, vie given her massages and what not but that dissent help... 28 year old male with blood clots in hands, muscle pain in arms, hair loss, weight loss,rash on arms, what may?

Swollen lympnotes, flu symptoms, hard to swallow?

3 days ago I woke up with a swollen throat, on the right side only. Both of my lymphnotrs are swollen in my neck, by my throat and are very tender to the touch. 8 hours after I woke up with these symptoms, I developed flu like symptoms such as fever, chills, headache, and dizziness (common flu sumptoms) but I didn't experience a site throat, running nose, or cough. I feel much better now, I'm still experiencing the same symptoms with my throat, but it's gotten better than before. My flu is going away as well, I have an appetite. I'd like to get answers before I go to the ER because I dont have medical, so my bill will be very expensive if I were to go, so, any advice please? Thank you.

I have a 2 year old niece. Recently my sister (her mom) and I were talking about the little things she does. My sister has become concerned. She will flick her hands. She also covers her ears alot. My sister at first thought with the covering of the ears she might have an ear infection, but no fever, and even a quick trip to the doctor proves other wise. She has been doing this for a couple months now and I my sister started to look up these behaviors, since she has never seen this before in children. My niece talks perfectly fine for a 2 year old. She can say her ABC's without much help. She can count to ten almost, sometimes she gets a couple numbers mixed up she is only 2. She is very social and loves to be around people and other kids. I think it's probably just a tick she has. She does not fit any other warning sign for autism except the hand movements. But are there any other things that might be causing her to do this?

Okay so about last thursday I got bitten by to deer ticks in the nymph stage, the first one was on my left ankle and removed on thursday night. Then the second one was found on my left leg and removed friday morning. The camp nurse told me to get checked out and then I came back to the nurse maybe an hour later because I started to become nauseated and was running a fever. Lately, I've been very tired and have had around 8-9 hours asleep a day. P.S. I am 15. I really can't say if my leg hurts because my ankle is sprained too. There is no bulls-eye and I am keeping an eye out for it, if it forms. So should I go to the doctors still?

I just saw two Mexicans getting out of a cab, They looked to be drunk. The cab driver was of African dissent and even had an African accent. One of the Mexican guys spit inside of the cab before walking off. The cab driver asked him why did he spit in his cab like that, and the Mexican guy said f- u. This made the African cab driver mad, and he walked up to the Mexican guy and got in his face and said f-u back to him.
