What length of time is the “freeze stick” supposed to be in contact with the tooth?

I do not have an immediate answer to this, but want to say I really sympathize with your experience. It does sound like the dentist caused damage to a perfectly sound tooth. I hope he corrects what he caused (with no additional charge). This would be the ethical course of action.
